Medicines thatno can be used in
Parkinson's disease
Many drugs CANNOT be used in Parkinson's disease.
Nausea Remedies:

Bromopride (Digesan®);

Metoclopramide (Plasil®)
Remedies for Dizziness:
-
cinnarizine
-
Flunarizine (Vertix®; Vertizine®)
Psychiatric drugs:
-
Risperidone,
-
Haloperidol (Haldol®)
-
Chlorpromazine (Amplictil® ; Neozine®)
-
olanzapine
These drugs can only be used if there is a very important need and there are no others available (that is, almost never!).
These medications somehow alter the way that dopamine works in the patient.
There are other medicines that can have this impediment too, so it's important to talk to the neurologist when they prescribe a new medicine!
Some drugs can make the tremor of Parkinson's disease worse, but that doesn't mean they can't be used, likevalproic acid, lithium, among others.
